Faulty power strips were to blame for the fire that erupted the evening of May 28 in several self-storage units. The building's fire sprinklers quickly contained the blaze until fire crews arrived. No injuries were reported.

The Cape Coral Fire Department responded to a call of an early morning fire at a condominium complex. The fire had started in the kitchen of a second story unit and was contained to that area until fire crews arrived to extinguish the remaining flames.

Brevard County Fire-Rescue responded to a fire call at an apartment building late Monday, May 13 to find that the fire sprinkler system had activated and contained the blaze that had started in the kitchen of one of the residences. 

Lt. Don Slayman, spokesman for Brevard County Fire-Rescue, stated, "The fire sprinklers had been activated, and they quickly prevented any further spread of fire."

No one was injured in the fire, and resident were able to return to their apartments shortly thereafter.

When a fire broke out in the kitchen of an apartment in the early evening, the fire sprinkler in the unit activated, eliminating all of the flames. The cause of the fire was oil on the stove which caught on fire as well as a nearby dish towel. No one was injured as a result of the fire.

Fire sprinklers save apartment and surrounding businesses (Harrisonburg, VA)

A kitchen fire that began in an apartment Wednesday evening was eliminated by the unit's fire sprinkler system. According to Harrisonburg Deputy Fire Marshall Arthur Miller, "If the sprinkler system wouldn't have been there, the consequences today would have been much more extreme. Not only in the loss of property and the interruption of business, but you've got fire fighters who are put in more of an extreme risk, fighting a more serious fire."

No injuries were reported from this incident.

When a fire that began in the microwave in the back of a clothing store inside Red Cliffs Mall, a fire sprinkler soon activated to stop the fire before the six fire engine crew arrived. No injuries were reported from the blaze.

Fire sprinklers save two area business (Redmond, WA)

In a 24 hour period, two fires in Redmond, Washington were controlled by a single fire sprinkler in each of these buildings.

The first fire occurred overnight at an occupied commercial building. The fire was confined to one room in the building, centered by a few blower fans thanks to the building's fire sprinklers, and the business was able to continue business within a couple hours of the fire.

The other fire started in the kitchen of a townhouse and was unoccupied save for the resident's dog. The home's fire sprinkler extinguished the majority of the fire, thus protecting the dog until firefighters arrived to evacuate the animal.

No injuries were reported in either incident.

A fire that was reported in the early morning hours of Friday, May 3, at the Labor Department Building was eliminated before fire crews arrived thanks to the building's fire sprinklers. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and no injuries were reported from the fire.

Fire sprinklers prove worth at high school fire (Hawkesbury, ON)

Fire crews responded to a fire at 1:00 a.m. that began by the window of a high school classroom to find that the fire had activated the fire sprinkler which helped to suppress and contain the fire. No one was injured in the fire, and police suspect arson as the cause.
